A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Procurement Executives to work with a British luxury goods trading company based in London.

With a unique business model that centres on sourcing branded goods from the UK and selling them in the Asian market, its success has brought the need to expand. As the backbone of the London Procurement team you will be expected to embed the company’s vision and ethos and train future employees.

This is a relationships based business, where the collaborative and innovative culture is the key to everything we do. You should possess the drive to establish valuable long lasting supplier relationships, be able to work under pressure and take initiative when closing deals with clients.

Your job will focus on maintaining sustainable relationships between yourself and the international sales team and acquire luxury items from UK businesses and to frequently report back to the Senior Board Members.

International travel is required on a frequent basis throughout the year. You will be expected to have an already established network gained through your previous buying career and have extensive knowledge procuring high end retail goods. 

You must have extensive knowledge in overseas trading especially in the Asian market which is where most clientele will be based.

What you will do?

 

  • Pro-actively monitor expenditure, commitment and savings; recommend, implement and monitor product sources

  • Use the tender process to select the most compliant and cost effective sources for the business, ensuring quality and performance guarantees.

  • Produce, maintain and monitor supply agreements which mitigate business risk and secure the best price, quality and performance

  • Manage a portfolio of categories, undertaking sourcing initiatives and cost saving programmes as appropriate

  • Manage Supplier Performance

  • Communicate with suppliers and internal customers in a timely and accurate manner

  • Work innovatively to find ways in which to lower cost, whilst extracting high quality products from UK businesses

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure that they are fully consulted on your set procurement strategy for the business’ luxury brands

 

What you need to have?

 

  • Highly developed negotiation skills

  • Already established network of contacts

  • Retail, Buying and Sourcing experience

  • Excellent supplier management skills

  • Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and exceeding company targets

  • Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins and category profitability

  • An ambitious and engaging personality

  • Self-motivated, Efficient, Tenacious, High degree of integrity

  • Experience working with MAC

The interview process will consist of candidates undertaking a telephone interview and submit a 10 minute video in response to a series of industry related questions followed by a face to face interview with the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer.
